Doolan de Silva, Sri Lanka’s premier landscape designer (and responsible for Calamansi’s own gardens), opens his extensive and extraordinarily beautiful landscaped gardens to the public. These are the most talked-about private gardens in Sri Lanka and part of the Bawa trail. The property belonged to Bevis Bawa, Geoffrey’s brother, and was started in 1929.

Galle Fort (45 minutes away)

Spend a day exploring the world-famous UNESCO heritage Dutch/Portuguese fort and its surrounding city. Discover beautifully adorned streets of colonial architecture, shops ranging from antiques to arts and crafts, and a wide selection of restaurants that can be pre-booked if required.

Lunuganga (40 minutes away)
